Participation in the 2024 Chinaplas International Plastics Fair reveals the evolution of the sector in Asia

Mantova was present at Chinaplas in Shanghai. The fair, held from April 23 to 26, 2024, had impressive figures: 4,420 exhibitors occupied an area of 380,000 square meters, receiving a total of 321,879 visitors. These figures show a significant increase compared to the previous edition held in Shenzhen.

Chinaplas is globally recognized as one of the leading fairs in the plastics, rubber, and machinery sector, being considered one of the most influential events in the industry. It stands as Asia's premier plastics fair and shares leadership with Düsseldorf's K Fair, whose next edition is scheduled for 2025, and Orlando's NPE, scheduled to take place from May 6 to 10 this year.

During the visit, an extensive agenda of meetings and visits to equipment and raw material suppliers was carried out. The rapid expansion and strength of Asian companies in the sector were evident, driven by significant technological evolution over the last decade. Innovations in production equipment and polymeric materials are undeniable, reflecting competitiveness and innovation, with a focus on the forefront of new technologies, management, and product quality.

Amidst the current commercial conflict scenario between China and the United States, there is growing commercial interest from Latin American companies in expanding cooperation in various sectors, creating opportunities for Brazilian companies. The sector's commitment to environmental issues is also highlighted.

For Mantova, participation in this large-scale event resulted in direct contacts with suppliers, strengthening existing partnerships, and establishing new ones.
