It is particularly suitable for environments involving welding operations, industrial automation systems, and robotic equipment. Its dual-layer construction consists of: an inner structural tube made of Polyamide 12 (PA12), providing chemical resistance, mechanical strength, dimensional stability, and reliable pressure performance, and a non-bonded outer jacket made of flame-retardant elastomeric PVC, designed to protect the tube surface against sparks, welding spatter, molten metal droplets, and incidental thermal exposure. This functional architecture increases operational safety while preserving flexibility and maintaining an appropriate minimum bending radius for dynamic applications.
Technical Note: The non-bonded outer jacket acts as an independent protective barrier, improving resistance to localized thermal impacts and preserving the structural integrity of the inner PA12 tube.
The tubing consists of a structural inner tube made of Polyamide 12 (PA12), protected by a non-bonded outer jacket of flame-retardant elastomeric PVC. The outer jacket provides excellent resistance to hot metal projections, sparks, molten droplets, and welding spatter. The outer jacket material complies with UL 94 – V0 classification, ensuring low flame propagation and rapid self-extinguishing behavior upon removal of the ignition source. In addition to thermal and flame protection, the outer jacket provides electrical insulation properties, resistance to oils and greases, resistance to aqueous solutions, ozone resistance, heat resistance, and ultraviolet (UV) resistance.
Composition: Inner tube in Polyamide 12 (PA12) and non-bonded outer jacket in flame-retardant elastomeric PVC.
Important Installation Requirement: To ensure proper sealing and system performance, the outer PVC jacket must be removed from the tube ends prior to fitting assembly. Installing fittings over the outer jacket may compromise sealing integrity, potentially resulting in leakage or rupture of the inner pressure-bearing tube.
