Mantova Expands International Presence with First Shipment to India
Mantova Indústria de Tubos Plásticos, based in Caxias do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, has completed its first shipment to India, expanding its international presence and reaching a new destination in the Asian market. The shipment consists of high-performance technical plastic tubing developed and manufactured in Brazil for an industrial project undertaken by a multinational home appliance company with which Mantova has maintained a well-established business relationship.
The products are destined for Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, in the state of Maharashtra, one of India's important industrial regions. This new supply arrangement reflects the trust built with the customer over the years and its decision to rely on the Brazilian manufacturer for an international operation as well.
This milestone represents another step in Mantova's international expansion. With manufacturing facilities in Brazil and Mexico, the company generates approximately 15% of its sales from international markets, serving customers across multiple countries.
"This is an achievement that makes us very proud. Knowing that a solution developed and manufactured here in Caxias do Sul is reaching an industrial project in India demonstrates how far our team's work can go. It also reflects the trust we have built with our customers over the years," says Afonso Vicenzi, Director at Mantova.
The first shipment marks the beginning of Mantova's supply operations to India, with volumes expected to increase from 2027 onward as the multinational company's project progresses.
Industrial Expertise and Technical Capabilities
Mantova's participation in international projects is closely linked to its expertise in developing and manufacturing technical plastic tubing for industrial applications that demand dimensional precision, performance, and reliability.
The company specializes in polymer extrusion processes, including the production of single-layer and multilayer tubing, enabling different materials and properties to be combined according to the requirements of each application.
Its product portfolio ranges from conventional polymers to engineering and high-performance materials, including polyamides, thermoplastic polyurethanes, and fluoropolymers. These materials are used in applications requiring specific characteristics such as flexibility, mechanical strength, thermal stability, and chemical resistance.
"Today, the plastics processing industry requires a very high level of specialization. We work with increasingly sophisticated materials and processes capable of meeting highly specific application requirements. Our challenge is to turn this expertise into reliable solutions for our customers, wherever they are," Vicenzi emphasizes.
Serving industries such as automotive, agriculture, machinery and equipment, medical and healthcare, and dental applications, Mantova continues to invest in product development, improvements to its manufacturing processes, and the strengthening of its customer service capabilities.
The first shipment to India reinforces this journey and demonstrates how the combination of technical expertise, manufacturing quality, and long-term business relationships enables the company to participate in industrial projects around the world.
