Mantova Invests in the Medical Sector and Projects 30% Growth by the End of 2025
With over R$10 million invested, Mantova is intensifying its presence in the medical-hospital sector and projects a 30% growth by the end of 2025. The company aims to strengthen domestic production of technical tubing for medical use, reduce dependency on imported inputs, and expand its international footprint.
“Four years ago, we began our initial investments in the medical-hospital segment, and at the end of 2024, we made a significant leap, driven by the belief that reducing dependency on imported products is essential for strengthening Brazil’s healthcare supply chain,” says Afonso Vicenzi, Director at Mantova.
The company has already become a key player in the extrusion of plastic tubes for high-complexity medical applications, including oncology, hemodialysis, and enteral nutrition. Among its most innovative products are radiopaque and photosensitive TPU tubes, engineered with a strong focus on biocompatibility and clinical safety.
“Mantova has been investing heavily in innovation and material science, developing solutions that meet the most stringent clinical requirements. Our commitment is to deliver performance, biocompatibility, and reliability—contributing to a safer and more accessible healthcare system,” says Bárbara Schneider, R&D researcher and Market Development Lead at the company.
Mantova’s plant in Mexico serves as the company’s base for entry into the North American market, with ongoing projects in partnership with U.S. companies focused on the development of tubes and connectors for surgical drains. The company is also expanding its international presence in Argentina and Uruguay, consolidating its footprint across Latin America.
“We have a modern infrastructure, a highly qualified team, and a strong focus on industrial excellence. This allows us to actively contribute to the strengthening of the national medical device supply chain by offering reliable alternatives to the market and supporting a more efficient and secure healthcare system,” adds Carlos Henrique Romoaldo, Research Coordinator and Product Development Lead.
With strict quality control, advanced technology, and direct collaboration with physicians from various specialties, Mantova reinforces its commitment to innovation in Brazilian-made medical devices and to advancing the country’s healthcare industry.
